Leaves and Holidays



    1. Should we take supervisor approval for each type of leave?

    Yes

    2. I joined in July, so am I not eligible for Flexi leaves in that FY?

    No

    3. I have already used my 365 days of LWP due to some issues, can I now get 730 days for my higher studies?

    No


Timesheet



    1. Should it be filled on a daily basis?

    Yes

    2. I haven’t filled the Timesheet for more than 10 days in August and the stop pay is generated. So, will I get the salary for the month of August?

    No

    3. Even after canceling the Timesheet leave, it is shown as 0 in my Timesheet for the day I missed filing. Does that mean my earned leave deducted is not yet restored?

    Even if Timesheet leave is generated and canceled with approval, it will show a 0 for that day irrespective of earned leave being restored.


TCS Health Insurance Scheme



    1. Why should I have another HIS, when I already have one outside the organization?

    It is not a choice.

    2. What happens to the paid premium if I leave TCS?

    HIS ceases on the date of release and the whole premium will be removed.


POSH



    1. Who will have the information when a sexual harassment case is registered by an associate?

    Associate and the Internal Compliance Committee


Social Media Policy



    1. Are employees not allowed to take photos inside TCS premises and post it on social media?

    No. It is a violation of Policy


Dress Code



    1. Is a company ID card mandatory for every employee within TCS premises?

    Yes


Return to Office



    1. Are two doses of Covid Vaccination mandatory to enter TCS premises?

    Yes. If not at least an RTPCR report needs to be uploaded which is not earlier than 72 hours and is to be approved by Project HR, to be able to enter the TCS premises. This needs to be uploaded on a weekly basis.

    2. What happens if I am not fully vaccinated and don’t have RTPCR uploaded?

    All the details related to mandatory Prerequisites need to be completed, which gets updated on the employee ID card. If any one of them is not completed then the employee will not be allowed to enter the Office. However, in the case of RTPCR submission, manual intervention will be done before letting the employee inside the premises, as the Prerequisites are still incomplete.

    1. Where can I see my UAN number?

    In the Salary Slip

    2. How can I activate my UAN?

    By signing into the EPFO portal.

    3. Will I be able to see the PF amount when in the Organization?

    No. It will be directly managed by TATA Trust.

    4. When I resign and move to another company, what will happen to the PF?

    It will be transferred to the employees' new company upon submitting the necessary documents.

    5. When will I be able to withdraw my PF?

       

        1. Unemployed for 2 months.

        2. Marriage for women.

        3. 75% can be withdrawn if unemployed for more than a month.

        4. Handicap equipment purchase.

        5. Retirement.

    6. How can I check my Gratuity amount if I am leaving the organization? And what process should I follow to get this amount post-separation?

    If eligible for Gratuity, you will be able to view this amount in your latest monthly pay slip. Gratuity will be paid out to you automatically. This will be processed and credited to your India Salary account either in your last month.

    7. Can I transfer this Gratuity amount to my next employer?

    The gratuity amount is non-transferrable and it will be settled automatically post your separation from TCS. The amount will be credited post deduction of tax as per the applicable Income Tax rules.

    8. When will I be eligible for Superannuation?

    Grade C3 B and above.


Advances



    1. How many times a year will I be able to claim Salary advances?

    3 times/FY. However, it is paid to the employee only upon the repayment of previous advances by the employee if any.

    2. How many times a year will I be able to claim Sundry advances?

    n times/FY up to Rs. 50,000. However, it is paid to the employee only upon the repayment of previous advances by the employee if any.

    3. How many times a year will I be able to claim Travel advances?

    n times/FY from Rs. 1000/day to Rs. 10,000/travel. However, it is paid to the employee only upon the repayment of previous advances by the employee if any.
